(9:45PM) This project has officialy become hard... Today I find myself trying to make excuses to not work on music. I definitely am not feeling it today, but I don't want to just pump out some song I already made... I hope I get out of this funk soon! About to start working on the song now

(10:51PM) I guess it's something. Hope you enjoy: Somethin to go by

January 26, 2010

I wasn't really interested in making any music today, so I made a quick 3 melodies and spliced on a simple beat and called it "I don't want to do this". Uploaded yesterday's song along with it.... May seem a bit repeditive, but it soothes my soul so I left it without and "flash". Enjoy

Posting my song late again, didn't get home until 3:20am O_o!

January 21, -way too early in the morning-

I couldn't sleep, decided to make a quick note about the song I just put up. The samples were taken from a video Nukeade linked me to, Duck and Cover. I copied the text that was there directly for the information, and provided a link. I shamelessly make use of the Amen beat in this DnB experiment.

Duck and Cover was a social guidance film produced in 1951 by the United States federal government's Civil Defense branch shortly after the Soviet Union began nuclear testing. Written by Raymond J. Mauer and directed by Anthony Rizzo of Archer Productions and made with the help of schoolchildren from New York City and Astoria, New York, it was shown in schools as the cornerstone of the government's "duck and cover" public awareness campaign. The movie states that nuclear war could happen at any time without warning, and U.S. citizens should keep this constantly in mind and be ever ready.

Uploading a song for yesterday right now, then I will add a song for today later tonight. Daily Happy!

January 15, 2010

Listenning to Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here.... such a powerful song, so elegant and simple... I love Pink Floyd's style I feel they were a huge influence on the ambient genres of the time and ever since.

....
Hope you guys have a great weekend, keep your eyes open for submissions and more updates to the site. I am planning on adding a section to my site devoted to short songs and ring tones that I have made and won't be putting on Albums. Also, if you have a request for a melody or section of a song as a ringtone, feel free to email that request to Firesickle AT Gmail DOTCOM, I will render up one and email it over to ya!

Keep it real, FireSickle

Just put up today's clip, Not wante.

January 13, 2010

Decided today that I am going to start a "28 days of melody" project. Some of you may remember that I did a 21 days of melody project last year in april, and that it was an incredibly fun time!!! I am psyched to do it again, and will be posting my first piece tonight. I am far from perfect, so I may miss a day or two, so I will make those days up with two entries the following day. I plan on including some information about what inspired the moment, and what I used to build the melody/song each day.
